Tattoo lust

SILENCE. Finally. Both boys are asleep and I'm sitting on my duff doing absolutely nothing because I'm too scared I'll make noise and wake them up. Today must be Crab Day because both boys are whinier than a grown man with a hangnail. They're still fighting their colds and I got a peek into Beckett's mouth earlier and it looks like tooth #7 has made its debut. I'm hoping #8 follows quickly behind so we can be done with this teething business for awhile.

As for Sawyer, who knew starting the wrong Dora episode was grounds for a toddler-induced F5 tornado. 'Nuff said.

So instead of cleaning the house like I should be, I'm putzing around on Flickr looking at tattoos. Because does anyone remember what tonight is? Sawyer's Tree! I'm getting pumped. And after the day I've had, it will definitely be a good hurt under the needle and AWAY from the house for a few hours.

Umm, yeah, Beckett just woke up. Already. So I'm cutting this short, but I have to share these:

Food tattoos. They intrique me. Especially the cupcakes. Seriously, how cute are those?!

And my new obsession: sewing tattoos! I've been trying to get ideas for my quilt tattoo and I found these.

sewing tattoos

It's so funny that you posted about sewing tattoos because the other night while I was browsing BMEzine's ModBlog I bookmarked this page because it made me think of you!

I know the chick with the first two sewing tattoos, I LOVE her pincushion one, and the placement of them is great.

I'm still looking around for my leaf tatoo, except I didn't realise how hard it is to find a Fern leaf that doesn't make me look like a kiwi!

Good luck with your tatoo, hope it goes well :)

Thanks for showing mine! I'm thinking about scissors next.

And my tattoo artist has one arm devoted to baking, including a cupcake, and the other is all sushi! could i have found someone more perfect? no.

I don't know you and I'm already jealous!

I want some new ink. My pile of plans is growing and never decreasing, as I haven't the money to get anything fresh. Hell, my leg piece is still just an outline :(

Have fun under the needle.

Ahh man, now I want another one...

My chinese symbol on my hand read talented woman and it refers to my knitting and sewing skills, unlike how others interpret it...

I was a tattoo artist for over 3 years, and the only food-related one I ever did was a hot dog. (apparently it was this girl's nickname...I didn't want to ask.) also the only time in the course of my work I ever got to ask: "do you want mustard on that?"

I have been trying to find inspirations for a quilting related tattoo also, but no luck. Probably I will just have to draw my own. I want something "cooler" than just a quilt block and not too crazy about the sewing machine route. : ( Want a knitting tat too, LoL!
